So people you dislike are usually insufferable pains to be around, and bring you significant joy in bitchin’, but you gotta admit that in being such asses, inevitably teach you lessons about how not to behave and at times, yourself. So we should be grateful to these people and I would like to extend a heartful THANKS.

I can’t decide whether I was feeling exceptionally angsty or benevolent when struck by this thought -oh the paradoxical irony- but I would like to say the latter since right now something is making me feel really bubbly.

So… Egypt, Germany or a ship that sails to 14 countries???

It’s so wonderful yet painful at the same time to have so many options, especially when none would be guaranteed.

Sometimes i just really want to cross the oceans and curl up into you; When homesickness hits, its by necessity at the most awful, random times. It also leads to recurring thoughts of my worst ever fear.

Young blood

I have come to accept the constant state of longing, for family and friends separated by insurmountable geographical boundaries that technology can do only so much to breach. This, alongside the forging of new relationships, makes for more muted emotions, I feel.

Nevertheless, had a wonderful winter break (perhaps it was too good, since I’m completely out of school-mode now) and am starting to get excited again for the craziness that is Reed College. 4 classes, 3 PE classes, 2 jobs, the ceramics program and still only 1 life to fit it all in? Bring it on!!
